Aloe isn't just used to care for sunburnt skin. Did you know that Aloe is loaded with antioxidants, is super hydrating, balances skins ph, and heals scars. So basically, it's a magical ingredient that is natural and leaves your skin looking radiant.

From Demi Moore, to Priyanka Chopra, celebrities are obsessed with the youthful effects of the aloe vera plant. There are tons of products on the market, however, you can save money and create an effective array of masks, with just a few simple ingredients.

  1. Acne Prone Skin: Combine 1 tablespoon of honey and one tablespoon of aloe vera gel. Apply directly to clean skin and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Remove with a washcloth soaked in cold or room temperature water. This mask is gentle enough to be used daily. Honey is anti-microbial and helps reduce inflammation. Aloe will soothe the acne. Together, they are a powerhouse!

  2. Hyperpigmentation: Combine 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel with a squeeze of lemon. Apply to clean skin and leave on for about 15 minutes. Remove with a washcloth soaked in cold or room temperature water. This mask should only be used once per week. Lemon juice contains citric acid, which has some gentle bleaching qualities, that will reduce dark spots over time. Always follow up with sunscreen!

3. Fine Lines/Lax Skin: Combine one raw egg, and 1 1/2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel. Whisk until combined. Apply onto clean skin, and leave on for 15 minutes. Remove

with a washcloth soaked in warm water. Because of the egg residue you may need to wash with water twice to remove. Your skin is going to be silky smooth! The protein in the egg combined with the antioxidants in the aloe gel will leave skin ultra moisturized, improved firmness, and over time will reduce fine lines.

4. Sensitive Skin: Cut up 1/4 cucumber and puree it in a blender. Add it to a bowl with a tablespoon of aloe vera gel, mix to combine. Apply to clean skin and leave on for 15 minutes. Remove the mask with a cold washcloth. Cucumbers are chock full of beneficial nutrients like A,B,C, Potassium, and Biotin. Cucumber is also a super hydrator and has anti-inflammatory properties.
